The Hindi version of 'The RajaSaab' has suffered a catastrophic failure at the box office, prompting exhibitors across North India to swiftly replace its shows with other films. This dramatic turn of events highlights a significant financial setback for the movie and its creators.
The RajaSaab's Dismal Performance
The film has recorded shockingly low collections in its Hindi release, leading to widespread show cancellations. Roshan Singh, a prominent film exhibitor from Bihar, confirmed the grim reality: “The RajaSaab has recorded shockingly low collections in Hindi. We had to cancel night shows for zero attendance and replace them with Dhurandhar and Laalo.”
'The RajaSaab' is now staring at massive losses, estimated to be close to Rs. 200-250 crore rupees. Further adding to the film's troubles, director Maruthi’s opinion that 'The RajaSaab' can only be understood when viewed twice has been met with skepticism and derision by those witnessing its current box office fate.
New Contenders Taking Over Screens
As 'The RajaSaab' falters, other films are capitalising on the available screen time:
• Dhurandhar continues its impressive run, maintaining a strong hold over the box office.
• Laalo has also stepped in to fill the void, being used as a replacement for 'The RajaSaab's' cancelled shows.
• This Friday, Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated goofy giggle fest, Happy Patel Khatarnak Jasoos, is expected to make a significant dent in Dhurandhar’s current supremacy, promising a fresh wave of competition and audience interest in North India.
