Netflix has officially released the chilling trailer for Kohrra Season 2, promising an even murkier and more complex investigation. Set to premiere on February 11, the critically acclaimed investigative crime drama takes viewers to Dalerpura, a town brimming with secrets and elusive answers, exclusively on Netflix.
A New Haunting Mystery Unfolds The second season delves into the perplexing murder of a woman, portrayed by Pooja Bhamrrah, discovered lifeless in her brother's barn. As the gripping investigation deepens, suspicion casts a wide net, implicating multiple individuals. Her husband, played by Rannvijay Singha, becomes a prime suspect, while her brother, portrayed by Anurag Arora, also finds himself entangled in the unfolding mystery. Each new revelation only serves to complicate the case further, hinting at a community bound by a silent conspiracy.
The Return of Amarpal Garundi and a New Partnership Fan-favourite Assistant Sub-Inspector Amarpal Garundi, expertly played by Barun Sobti, returns, hoping for a fresh start far from his roots in Jagrana. Now stationed under the command of Sub-Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, portrayed by Mona Singh, Garundi navigates not only a layered investigation but also an evolving professional dynamic. Dhanwant's methodical, restrained, and no-nonsense approach starkly contrasts with Garundi's instinct-driven style, forging a compelling partnership as they meticulously peel back the layers of this deeply tangled crime.
Insights from the Stars Barun Sobti shared his experience reprising his role, stating, “Garundi begins this season hoping to start afresh, but in a world like Kohrra, the past never quite lets go. The mystery this time is denser and more layered, and that complexity reflects in Garundi’s own journey. He’s more introspective, more guarded, and constantly negotiating with his own choices. Season 2 pushed me as an actor in new ways, and I’m excited for viewers to return to this world and experience how the story unfolds.”
Mona Singh, joining the series in a pivotal role, spoke about entering the intense world of Kohrra. “Stepping into the world of Kohrra was both exciting and daunting because of how thoughtfully it is written. Dhanwant is a woman of few words, but immense resolve. She’s navigating loss, responsibility, and the constant need to prove herself — often without saying much at all. It’s a role that demanded restraint, and I’m grateful to Sudip sir and the team for trusting me with it. I look forward to audiences experiencing her journey within the larger, quietly intense world of Kohrra.”
Behind the Scenes: The Creative Team Kohrra Season 2 is a A Film Squad Production in association with Act Three, backed by esteemed producers Saurabh Malhotra, Sudip Sharma, Manuj Mittra, and Tina Tharwani. This new season also marks Sudip Sharma’s directorial debut, co-directing alongside Faisal Rahman. The compelling narrative is crafted and written by Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia, and Sudip Sharma, ensuring the continuation of its signature gritty and atmospheric storytelling.
With a talented cast that also includes Prayrak Mehta, the second season powerfully reinforces the show's core theme: it takes an entire community to conceal a crime, and only an unyielding gust of truth can bring the entire house of cards crashing down. Don't miss Kohrra Season 2, streaming exclusively on Netflix from February 11.
