Vikrant Massey Addresses Ramayana Casting Rumors: Denies Involvement Amidst Raghav Juyal Buzz

Actor Vikrant Massey has officially addressed the widespread speculation concerning his alleged role in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious two-part film, *Ramayana*, and the reports suggesting he was replaced by Raghav Juyal. The rumors, which ignited significant discussion across social media and entertainment outlets, have now been firmly put to rest by Massey himself.

Setting the Record Straight Taking to his Instagram Stories, Vikrant Massey issued a clear and concise denial of any involvement in the epic project. "Ok. To put the rumours to rest. I never was a part of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan," he wrote. Massey expressed his disappointment with various media portals for reporting on his supposed ‘replacement’ without conducting proper background checks. He emphasized that such reports were incorrect and reflected a lack of due diligence. The actor concluded his post by wishing everyone involved in the movie all the very best. Although the clarification post was later deleted from his Instagram Story without an explanation, Massey’s message was unequivocal: he was never officially attached to the *Ramayana* film at any stage.

The Origin of the Rumors The controversy originated from a report by Variety India, which mentioned that Raghav Juyal had been cast as Meghanad (also known as Indrajit) – the eldest son of Ravana and a crucial warrior in the *Ramayana* narrative – for *Ramayana: Part 2*. Crucially, the same report indicated that this significant role was once linked to Massey before the filmmakers opted for a different casting choice. A source quoted in the publication stated, “The role was initially supposed to be played by Vikrant Massey, but things apparently didn't work out. Raghav was subsequently approached, and he immediately came on board.” Despite the persistent buzz, Massey’s public statement served to definitively counter any lingering speculation about his participation.

Nitesh Tiwari's Grand Vision for Ramayana Nitesh Tiwari’s *Ramayana* is being produced as a monumental two-part cinematic adaptation of the ancient Indian epic, expected to be among the biggest live-action films in Indian cinema history. The star-studded ensemble cast features:
Lord Ram: Ranbir Kapoor
Goddess Sita: Sai Pallavi
Ravana: Yash
Hanuman: Sunny Deol
Lakshman: Ravie Dubey The film also includes several other prominent actors in key roles. The first part of *Ramayana* is scheduled for a Diwali 2026 release, while the second installment is anticipated around Diwali 2027. Massey's clarification ensures that while the film continues to generate immense excitement, his name is no longer associated with its extensive casting narrative.
