Vikram Bhatt Accused of Unpaid Dues for '1920: Horrors of the Heart' by Casting Director & Crew

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt, currently in judicial custody alongside his wife Shwetambari Bhatt in connection with a substantial Rs 30 crore cheating and criminal breach of trust case, is now facing fresh allegations. These new claims revolve around the non-payment of dues for his 2023 film, *1920: Horrors of the Heart*.

Casting Director Reveals Unpaid Fees

Parag Chadha, the casting director for *1920: Horrors of the Heart*, has publicly accused Bhatt of not clearing his professional fees. Chadha stated to The Hollywood Reporter India that a full 100% of his fees remains unpaid, despite repeated follow-ups over the years. He explained that he had initially refrained from speaking out due to concerns about his livelihood and future work prospects within the industry.

• Chadha possesses email confirmations acknowledging his pending dues, yet no payment has been made.
• He has now written off the money as bad debt, emphasizing that his decision to speak out is about raising awareness, not recovering the funds.

Widespread Allegations Emerge from Cast and Crew

Following Parag Chadha’s public statement, several other actors and crew members who worked on *1920: Horrors of the Heart* have also come forward with similar claims of unpaid dues. It has been alleged that vendors and even debutant actors associated with the project are similarly affected, despite the film reportedly earning Rs 17–18 crore at the box office.

Silence from Vikram Bhatt's Camp

As of the time of reporting, neither Vikram Bhatt nor his representatives have issued a public response to these escalating allegations of non-payment.

Adding to Existing Legal Troubles

These new accusations further complicate the legal situation for Vikram Bhatt, who remains in custody as investigations into the separate fraud case continue. The Rajasthan High Court recently rejected the bail plea of Vikram Bhatt and his wife in the Rs 30 crore fraud case, highlighting the severity of his ongoing legal challenges.
