Bollywood's highly anticipated film, Welcome To The Jungle, starring Akshay Kumar, has made a significant change to its production schedule. Originally slated for a lavish shoot in Dubai, the makers have now opted to shift the entire schedule to Mumbai due to ongoing geopolitical tensions. This development follows similar reports of other big-ticket films, like Shah Rukh Khan’s *King*, altering their international plans.
Why the Shift from Dubai?
The team behind *Welcome To The Jungle*, led by director Ahmed Khan and producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala, had initially planned an extravagant song sequence in Dubai. However, with the geopolitical situation remaining unstable, a decision was made to relocate the shoot. Director Ahmed Khan confirmed, "Producer Firoz A. Nadiadwala and I envisioned this as a glamorous song that captures how the rich live the good life. Dubai would have been the perfect location, and we waited for nearly a month for things to settle there. Mumbai will now host the ambitious shoot, with elaborate sets being erected across various prime locations.
• Locations: Madh Island, Golden Tobacco Studio, and Film City in Goregaon will be transformed.
• Themes: Production designer Sailesh Mhadik is creating intricate sets depicting luxurious nightclubs, high-stakes casinos, and private jets.
• Vision: The aim is to recreate the opulent backdrops typically associated with international locales, bringing the "good life" aesthetic envisioned for Dubai to the heart of Mumbai.
