Renowned Indian filmmaker Anubhav Sinha, celebrated for his powerful storytelling and diverse narratives in cinema, is set to embark on an exciting new creative venture. Sinha has officially launched his own music label, Benaras Beat, marking a significant expansion of his artistic journey beyond the silver screen. This move promises to bring a new dimension to his creative expression, offering audiences exclusive musical experiences.
The Genesis of a Musical Dream
The concept of Benaras Beat has been a long-cherished dream for Anubhav Sinha, meticulously nurtured over several years.
• Sinha revealed that the idea for the label first took root in his mind approximately 7-8 years ago, stemming from a profound personal love for music.
• He passionately stated, “There is a very interesting saying that if you want to do something and you don't do anything about it, then it's a dream, and if you want to do something and you do a lot about it, then it's an ambition.” Benaras Beat clearly falls into the latter category for the acclaimed director.
• His deep connection to music is evident in his personal life; he began learning music three years ago and has music constantly playing in his room, highlighting a lifelong passion.
Expanding Creative Horizons Beyond Film
While the vision for creating music outside of films germinated years ago, the practical steps to realize Benaras Beat began more recently.
• Setting up the right team proved to be the initial hurdle for the filmmaker.
• About a year ago, Sinha successfully assembled a dedicated team of composers and professionals, allowing the project to take concrete shape.
• With the team now fully established, Benaras Beat has already produced several original songs, poised for release.
