CBFC Certification Details for Drishyam 3
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) from its Thiruvananthapuram office has officially passed all versions of Drishyam 3 with a U/A 16+ certificate. The censor board's review brought forth specific directives for each language:
• Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada Versions: Thankfully, no visual or audio cuts were ordered for these versions, allowing audiences to experience the film as intended by the makers.
• Specific Instructions Issued:
* Original Malayalam Version: Makers were instructed to add a static warning card highlighting the dangers of smoking.
* Dubbed Kannada Version: A similar static warning card regarding the ill effects of alcohol consumption was mandated.
* Dubbed Telugu Version: A minor edit was requested, with the expletive ‘f**k’ in the second half of the film needing to be muted.
Following these modifications, the original Malayalam version of Drishyam 3 received its CBFC clearance on May 11, with the dubbed versions following on May 15. The film's official length, as stated on the censor certificates, is 159.05 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 39 minutes, and 5 seconds.
